Find work faster: 9 KaMatch hacks that actually work

Optimise your profile, tags and alerts to land shifts, gigs and jobs faster on KaMatch. Real tips for care, retail, hospitality, admin and more.

If you’re new to KaMatch, here’s how to turn views into interviews.

1) Use a clear headline
Your profile headline should say what you do + where + when.

“Support Worker — Nights & Weekends — Ilford”
“Retail Cashier — Immediate Start — Lagos Island”

2) Tick the right tags
Add work mode (Remote/Hybrid/On-site), schedule (Weekend, Night shift, Immediate start) and any licences (DBS, SIA, CSCS, First Aid). These show as badges in search.

3) One-page CV, PDF only
Keep it to one page with bullet points and numbers: “Handled £2k/day till, 98% accuracy.” Name the file: Firstname-Role-City.pdf.

4) Build a mini portfolio (even for non-creatives)
Upload a simple doc with proof: before/after cleaning photos, a short care reference, a café latte art pic, a screenshot of a spreadsheet you built.

5) Set 3–5 Job Alerts
Create alerts for your top categories and nearby radius. Example: “Care & Support — 10km — Nights”, “Retail — 5km — Part-time”.

6) Apply fast, then follow up once
New posts get the most attention in the first 24 hours. After applying, send one short message in-app:

“Hi, I’m available Thu–Sun nights. DBS on file. Can interview today.”

7) Use location smartly
If you’re flexible, widen your radius. If you rely on public transport, list your regular routes in your profile.

8) Show availability
Keep your calendar toggled on (evening/weekend/overnight). Many employers shortlist purely by availability.

9) Keep it professional
Neutral photo, full name, no slang in messages. Thank people after interviews—your name will pop up again.
